Team Iezzi: 46
Team Lurie: 40
We’ve been updating our progress on the CFB wins pool throughout the season, with Week 11 starting tonight it felt like a great opportunity to go through what’s been happening on the NFL side of things.
You don’t have to look too far to see what’s caused the initial separation in the standings: The Minnesota Vikings are 8-1. David’s second pick, the Green Bay Packers, are 4-6. David’s Colts pick - which led to John grabbing the Titans - and John’s Rams pick - which led to David grabbing the 49ers - have essentially cancelled out. It’s been the NFC North and John’s confidence in the Eagles that have directly led to the current lead. As things sit right now, 4 of the 5 teams with the highest Super Bowl odds (Bills, Chiefs, Eagles, Vikings) are on Team Iezzi.
We picked this week to give an update, besides it being only slightly past the halfway point, but also because there are FOUR Iezzi v. Lurie matchups this weekend:
Titans (JI) v. Packers (DL) - Tonight
Eagles (JI) v. Colts (DL)
Cowboys (DL) v. Vikings (JI)
Chiefs (JI) v. Chargers (DL)
Last week went about as well as possible for David - there was a real chance for big separation with him having two Lurie v. Lurie matchups and two teams on a BYE. Will Team Lurie continue trending? John goes 4-0 in those matchups this week and there’s a chance you can put this to bed. At the same time, if David goes 4-0, which is entirely possible, whole new ball game.
Going to be fun! Hasn’t been as tightly contested as the CFB pool up to this point but has chance to be depending on how things play out down the stretch. $500 on the line. Every game counts!
